A short route saves time and reduces the chance that one office is asked to explain a record held by another:
- For a current inmate or a recent admission, use the Sheriff’s county roster and 72-hour booking search, then call the jail line if the result is unclear.

- For a case result, check the Clerk docket. A roster entry is not a conviction, and a missing roster entry is not proof of dismissal.
