About This Site

Finding a Fayette County booking record means knowing which office owns each part of the record. This private reference service maps the Sheriff roster, the 72-hour booking view, the county courts, Georgia Department of Corrections tools, and records-request routes. It does not host a booking-photo gallery or claim to be a government office.

Why This Reference Exists

Georgia public-record rules make many arrest and booking details available, but the right source depends on what happened after an arrest. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office operates the county jail roster and holds booking records. Its public lookup shows text fields and a recent-admission view, while its separate Mugshot Request route handles photographs. The Georgia Department of Corrections has a different locator for people in state custody. Fayette’s Superior, State, and Magistrate Courts carry the case forward after booking.

Those systems answer different questions. A roster can show current custody. A booking record can document intake. A city police report can describe the arresting agency’s event. A Clerk docket can show filings and later case activity. This site brings those official paths, contacts, and limits together in plain language. It hosts no official records and does not copy or republish booking photos.

What the Pages Point Toward

The main pages are organized around the actual Fayette County systems and the three cities in the county map:

  • The home page combines the roster, 72-hour booking view, booking-record request path, Georgia mugshot law, court follow-up, state and federal custody links, and city routing.
  • Most Wanted Fugitives explains that Fayette has no verified public warrant portal or standing wanted list, then gives the Sheriff’s phone and tip path for safe follow-up.
  • Crime News identifies The Georgia Gazette and The Citizen as secondary sources and shows how to verify a story with the Sheriff and Clerk.
  • Peachtree City, Fayetteville, and Tyrone pages explain each police department’s report route and how city arrests enter the shared county jail system.

What This Service Cannot Do

Fayette County Busted Mugshots is privately operated. It has no connection to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, any city police department, the Georgia Department of Corrections, a court, or another government body. It cannot release or transfer a person, post bond, schedule a visit, or retrieve a nonpublic file.

  • It cannot confirm that a person is currently in custody.
  • It cannot decide whether an entry belongs to a person with a common name.
  • It cannot give legal advice or interpret an unclear docket for a reader.
  • It cannot promise that an address, phone number, fee, or public interface has not changed.

Only the originating office can confirm a current custody status, explain a redaction, release an existing record, or state the official case outcome. Arrest and booking information describes an accusation, not a conviction.

Search-Partner Disclosure

Some pages contain search boxes operated by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices, results, and data practices. If a visitor follows a partner tool to a paid signup, a referral fee may be paid to help support this reference service. That relationship does not make the partner tool an official Fayette County source, and it does not give this service control over the provider’s results.
